Event Description: 

Making films for impact means making sure they get seen. How do you do that in a time where the competition for eyeballs is more flooded than ever? How do you reach audiences by coming to them, and what does real connection and change look like?
Lara van Raay is a filmmaker and impact producer who will talk about running an impact campaign and what goes on behind the scenes to get an audience and create change in interesting and effective ways.

About the Presenter:

Lara is a multi-skilled content creator who loves every aspect of making great, impactful stories.

She's been involved in the production of over 70 short and long form documentaries and has 25 + years experience working in the media industry as well as for broadcasters in Australia, Europe and The Middle East.

She is interested in working in the factual space, and am focused on creating stories that engage, entertain and educate.

Lara's documentary work has featured on the ABC, National Geographic Channel, Foxtel, ZED, at St Kilda Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, the ATOM Awards, AIDC and the The Walkleys and has won many awards at festivals around the world.
