Event Description:
SIMNA (Social Impact Measurement Network Australia) and the AES (Australian Evaluation Society) have put together a hybrid event on the topic of measuring the social impact and evaluating place-based approaches.
Place-based approaches are a cornerstone of community empowerment, addressing complex local needs effectively. In response to Australia's social, economic, and environmental challenges, these approaches are gaining prominence, with a renewed focus on community-driven solutions.
The event will include a panel discussion followed by an interactive conversation facilitated by Paula Simoes dos Santos (SIMNA) and Melissa Kaltner (AES NSW & EY). The panel discussion will feature Lee-Anne Malony (Clear Horizon Consulting), George Argyrous (Paul Ramsay Foundation), Anna Powell (Collaboration for Impact) and Rachel Bertram (University of Technology Sydney), who will explore the unique nature of place based initiatives, discussing how we measure their impact and evaluate their outcomes.
