About the Role
Murawin is seeking to recruit a culturally capable Principal Consultant to join our Evaluation & Research team. In this role you will combine your proven project management skills, business development and evaluation. You will lead complex, high-value research and evaluation projects, winning new work, mentoring consultants, and strengthening strategic client relationships. You will manage a portfolio of impactful projects, often evaluating major government programs affecting First Nations communities and using culturally responsive, evidence-based approaches.

Requirements of the role
- Lead end-to-end research and evaluation projects (scope, delivery, quality, risk, budget, timelines)
- Design rigorous and culturally responsive methodologies and communicate them clearly
- Prepare tenders/proposals (methodology, sampling, approach, resourcing)
- Guide project teams (interviews, focus groups, yarning circles) and oversee analysis
- Produce high-quality reports, submissions and presentations for diverse audiences
- Mentor consultants and represent Murawin in client and sector forums.

What you'll bring
- Demonstrated experience working directly with First Nations communities
- Proven experience in program evaluation and/or social research
- Tertiary qualification in social sciences/evaluation/research/ or another related field
- Strong understanding and capability in proposal/tender writing
- Proven delivery of complex projects across budgets, timelines and teams
- Exceptional writing, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel as required
- Confident with Microsoft Office suite.
