Lead the evaluation of student equity initiatives, using data-driven insights to improve access, participation and student success outcomes at CDU.

About the Position
This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to meaningful and lasting change for students from backgrounds traditionally underserved in higher education. As the Evaluation and Impact Lead – Student Equity, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how Charles Darwin University measures, understands and improves student outcomes, ensuring programs and investments deliver real impact for First Nations students, students from regional and remote communities, students with disability, low socioeconomic status students and other equity cohorts.

Drawing on your expertise in data analysis and research, you will evaluate student outcomes, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and provide evidence-based insights to inform strategic planning and decision-making. Working collaboratively with program leads and key stakeholders, you will strengthen the University’s approach to measuring student success, ensure compliance with Commonwealth reporting requirements and contribute to initiatives that improve access, participation, retention and success for students from traditionally underserved backgrounds.

To be successful, you will require:
-A relevant postgraduate qualification in social science, education, public policy, statistics, research methods or a related field, with substantial relevant experience; or equivalent professional experience.
-Demonstrated experience leading monitoring and evaluation frameworks and driving evidence-informed decision-making within a complex organisation.
-Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel, SPSS, R, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent tools.
-A sound understanding of, and commitment to, equity in higher education, particularly supporting students from underserved backgrounds.
-Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports and data visualisations that communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.
-Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and drive continuous improvement.
-Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
-Commitment to the University’s values.

Remuneration
Appointment for this role will be at Professional Level 9. The base salary will be in the range of $130,186 - $137,495 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $152,317 - $160,869 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
