Event Description:

Go behind the scenes and into the first year of implementing the Fay Fuller Foundation’s social impact measurement and learning framework as they share what worked, what didn’t, and what they learned along the way. This session will explore the framework as a case study for:

  • ways of collaboratively defining, measuring, and understanding impact with grant partners,

  • how evaluation can fuel meaningful reflection and iteration of your organisation's practices and strategy,

  • capturing ripples of change beyond traditional metric or outcome indicators.

Presenter Details:

Victoria Halburd is the Social Impact and Communications Manager at the Fay Fuller Foundation, a private philanthropic organisation based in South Australia. In this capacity, she ensures the Foundation has a deep understanding of its work and the impact of its partners to drive learning, development, and strategy, through an embedded Social Impact Measurement and Learning Framework. Her role also encompasses integrating a learning and sharing principle and approach in Our Town, a ten year, place-based change initiative funded by the Foundation. She is driven by a commitment to utilising data and evidence for strategic decision-making and collaborating with communities to determine their own measures of success. She takes a systemic perspective to her role, drawing on her Master's in International Development and a background managing programs in the Pacific region as a foundation for understanding and responding to the complex and interconnected challenges faced by societies globally.
