I joke that in cartooning at conferences I go with a blank mind. An open mind really. I see my role as listening and observing, picking up on the issues and the passion that are driving the participants, and capturing these in cartoons. Cartooning is a form of note taking, recording important points in concise pictures and words, it is also questioning and provocative. As well, I hope, it is fun.
