What if your work didn’t just measure outcomes—but shaped the future of an entire state?
At DCCEEW, we’re leading the transition to a sustainable, net zero future for NSW. From climate action and clean energy to water stewardship and environmental conservation, our work matters—and we need a sharp, strategic thinker to help us evaluate, improve and amplify that impact.
This isn’t your typical project role. As our Senior Project Officer, Evaluation, you’ll sit at the centre of strategy, policy, and delivery—turning data into powerful insights that influence decision-making at the highest levels.

- Partner with senior leaders, delivery teams and external providers
- Drive continuous improvement through smart analysis and forward-thinking recommendations
- Tell the story of impact, communicating complex findings in meaningful ways
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our initiatives deliver real outcomes for communities, the environment and future generations.
You’re analytical, curious, and confident navigating complexity. You enjoy asking “why,” challenging assumptions, and influencing outcomes.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong experience in evaluation, performance measurement, or policy analysis
- Can translate complex data into clear, compelling insights
- Brings strategic thinking and problem-solving capability
- Builds trusted relationships and confidently engages stakeholders at all levels
- Has relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
