This role is a senior contributor to our data and evaluation function. Working with our project managers you will design and conduct evaluations of behavioural interventions to establish causality and provide actionable insights. While randomised controlled trials remain a key tool we use, we also welcome experienced and creative data analysts who can lead work with quasi-experimental designs, discrete choice experiments, behavioural data analysis, or qualitative data to inform intervention design or evaluation.

Each of our Senior Data and Evaluation Analysts bring different strengths. Some day to day activities include:

  • Leading and conducting quantitative analyses (descriptive, regression, and causal inference) with behavioural data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and identify drivers of behaviour
  • Conducting advanced technical research tasks, including power calculations, coding for statistical analysis, cleaning collected data, randomisation, modelling, and trial analyses
  • Establishing, adhering to, and improving rigorous research and evaluation protocols to ensure our approach is ethical, our results are robust, and our work puts people first
  • Designing and deliveringf behavioural evaluations, including selecting appropriate methodologies (eg RCTs, quasi-experiment designs, A/B testing), and preparing theories of change and logic models during project design
  • Identifying measurement, data collection and analysis challenges and working with data partners in government to ensure the research instruments you build generate reliable evidence
  • Bringing data to life by creating compelling, share-worthy visualizations, data reports or stories that will be shared with team members, agencies, decision makers, or the public
  • Nurturing an environment where all our team members recognise and reward curiosity, innovation, mistakes and shared learning.
