Event overview
This event looks at another community of practice that uses evaluative thinking and tools.
MAGnet is the Monitoring, Appointments, and Governance network. It was established in 2000 for New Zealand government departments involved in performance advice and governance related to arms-length crown agencies. MAGnet facilitates networking, sharing of experience and material, encouraging good practice, and helping the professional development of managers and staff.
Murray's presentation looks at the challenges and learnings from establishing and maintaining the community over time. He will consider some parallels with evaluation work such as the importance of stakeholder buy-in, and how MAGnet has tried to achieve this in its area of work.
