Event overview:

This session will provide practical insights on integrating financial and non-financial value, leveraging real-world examples from both private and non-profit sectors. Jeremy will discuss the principles and assurance processes behind the SDG Impact Standards, the challenges and opportunities of implementation, and how organisations can move beyond mere compliance to create meaningful, measurable impact. Whether you’re a sustainability professional, impact investor, or organisational leader, this seminar will equip you with the knowledge to drive genuine change and value creation through the SDG Impact Standards.

Presenter details:

Jeremy Nicholls is a recognised leader in social value and impact measurement, with extensive experience in both the private and non-profit sectors. He is the former CEO of Social Value International and Social Value UK. Jeremy began his career as a chartered accountant and has worked internationally, including in Tanzania and Liberia. He is an Honorary Senior Fellow at the University of Liverpool Management School and an ambassador for the Capitals Coalition, focusing on integrating financial and non-financial value. Jeremy also represents Social Value International on the ISO technical committee for governance of organisations and advises the True and Fair Project. He sits on expert panels for Accounting for Sustainability and the GRI Due Process Oversight Committee, actively shaping standards in sustainability and impact reporting. He was the Assurance Framework Lead for the UNDP SDG Impact Standards until the end of 2024.

This is a free event organised & hosted by the New Zealand Regional Network of the AES. Our seminar series provides an opportunity for you to meet with AES members and others in the evaluation community and to share and learn from the experiences of fellow evaluators.
