If you’re going to one conference in 2026, make it aes26 in Darwin. From 14–18 September 2026, we’re heading to Darwin (Garramilla) for a spectacular conference shaped by place, culture and connection. Guided by the theme Making space, valuing place, aes26 creates space for diverse perspectives and deep listening across Australia, the Asia Pacific and beyond.
This is an opportunity to explore the breadth and depth of the evaluation ecosystem – welcoming evaluators, community leaders, funders, researchers, policymakers, data analysts, economists, implementation scientists, social scientists, international development specialists, educators, learning specialists, practitioners, and people with lived experience.
‍CONFERENCE: Wednesday 16 to Friday 18 September 2026
PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS:Â Monday 14 & Tuesday 15 September 2026
Make aes26 more than a conference, explore Darwin and the NorthernTerritory with help, ideas and exclusive offers here: tourismtopend.com.au/iec26 and take advantage of exclusive Qantas flight discounts available to aes26 delegates.
D‍o you want to be part of the conversation? Submitting a proposal is one of the most powerful ways to get involved in aes26. We’re seeking workshops and conference sessions that spark dialogue, share practical learning and reflect the diversity of perspectives that shape evaluation practice.
We’re looking for practical, applied sessions that share innovative tools, methods and approaches, spark dialogue over lectures, and bring cross-sector perspectives into the room. Show how your idea connects with the conference theme and sub-themes so it can sit strongly within the program streams. Choose from seven formats (including Ignites, short and long papers papers, panels, skill-building, roundtables and big room sessions) and tell us not only what you’ll share, but how you will actively engage participants.
‍Bringing aes26 to life in Darwin takes partnership.
Sponsorship plays an important role in shaping the experience for everyone who attends. It enables us to create thoughtful spaces for connection and learning, support emerging evaluators, and reflect the spirit of Darwin (Garramilla) and the Northern Territory throughout the program and conference events.
As a small not-for-profit, AES relies on the support of sponsors and partners to deliver a conference of this scale and quality. These partnerships strengthen the sector and help ensure aes26 is welcoming, inclusive and impactful.
The aes26 Sponsorship Prospectus outlines a range of opportunities, from major partnerships to creative activations and exhibition spaces.
If you’re not the right person to explore sponsorship, forward this to someone in your organisation or network who might be interested in partnering with us.
