This is a free seminar organised by the Northern Territory Regional Network Committee of the AES. Our seminar series provides an opportunity for you to meet with AES members and others in the evaluation community and to share and learn from the experiences of fellow evaluators.

Seminar overview

This session presents our learnings when managing the evaluation of the NT Chronic Conditions Prevention and Management Strategy (CCPMS) 2010-2020. This includes the need to evaluate, systems that were and were not in place, the steps needed to be undertaken to address gaps, and the result of the evaluation. Presenters' background

Liz Kasteel is a Principal Policy Officer who has been working in health for 27 years and in chronic condition policy for more than 10 years. Liz has completed evaluation of a few health projects and strategies; the evaluation of CCPMS was the major evaluation she has ever managed so far. Liz and her team is currently planning for the development of the new NT-wide chronic conditions strategy/framework.

Moira Stronach, Principal Policy Officer, chronic conditions and prevention, has worked in the Northern Territory for the past 35 years, mainly in nutrition and dietetics. Monitoring and evaluation has been part of Moira’s professional practice. Moira recently involved in monitoring and evaluation of the CCPMS.
