Results-based accountability (RBA) is a practical, plain English approach to planning and evaluating services for clients and communities. Originally developed by Mark Friedman in the United States, it has been widely used internationally and in Australia and has wide application across policy sectors (e.g. human services, environment, local government). The session will commence with an introductory overview of RBA followed by participants having hands-on practice in small groups in applying some of the underlying principles.
Greg is the director of Nexus Management Consulting, which is celebrating its 25th year of consulting to government and not-for-profit organisations. Greg is an expert in RBA, having attended train-the-trainer workshops delivered by Mark Friedman. Greg has used the RBA approach in developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks and in evaluating programs and services in a wide variety of settings.
