This is a free seminar organised by the Victorian Regional Network Committee of the AES. Our seminar series provides an opportunity for you to meet with AES members and others in the evaluation community and to share and learn from the experiences of fellow evaluators.
The impact of COVID-19 in the Asia Pacific region has been profound. In 2020, the Asia Pacific Regional Office embarked upon the task of analyzing needs and establishing priorities for the work of 38 independent Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies across the region. Collectively these National Societies have mobilized 7.6 million volunteers and reached over 155 million people: to stem the spread of COVID-19 and address the health and socio-economic impacts of the pandemic.
The evaluation was a daunting task: appointing one assessment coordinator working remotely over four months to wrangle 15 over-stretched country offices and their National Society counterparts under lockdown. The goal of this exercise was to produce an analysis that was relevant, timely and could be utilized to improve the operation moving forward.
Join Jess and Audrey as they talk through the process of setting up the evaluation, collecting and analyzing the findings, sharing and applying the results across a diverse network of Red Cross and Red Crescent collaborators.
