This is a free event organised by the New South Wales Regional Network Committee of the AES. Our seminar series provides an opportunity for you to meet with AES members and others in the evaluation community and to share and learn from the experiences of fellow evaluators.

Seminar overview:

Have you ever been confronted with a difficult evaluation challenge or issue? It may be about the politics of a particular evaluation, dealing with a difficult client or being asked to modify your results. In this workshop, you are invited to bring along those difficult questions about evaluation that you have been afraid to ask and discuss them with colleagues and an expert panel.

Small groups will be convened to consider the questions/challenges and then we will join a plenary with an expert panel comprising experienced evaluation practitioners from academia, government and the consulting worlds. The panel members will discuss and provide some advice on key issues and themes that emerge from the small group discussions.

So come along with your tough evaluation challenges or questions (or just come along to be part of a conversation!).

Panel member's background

  • George Argyrous, University of Technology Sydney
