This is a free seminar organised by the Queensland Regional Network Committee of the AES. Our seminar series provides an opportunity for you to meet with AES members and others in the evaluation community and to share and learn from the experiences of fellow evaluators.
Evaluators and program managers frequently spend time considering the best ways to conduct an evaluation, and capture meaningful information – but what happens next?
As evaluators, we want to ensure that our findings and recommendations have life beyond an evaluation and contribute to some sort of meaningful change. While it sometimes feels like we lack power to keep our reports from disappearing into a void, there is a lot we can do to support implementation and make sure improvements are put into practice.
This seminar will provide practical advice and guidance around how to translate evaluation findings into action. Whether you are an evaluator, or a program manager, we will talk you through the tricks we use when presenting findings, drafting reports and beyond to encourage action.
Georgina Roberts is Grosvenor’s Program Evaluation Practice Lead and one of our most experienced evaluators. She has worked with State and Federal Government Departments to design, monitor and evaluate programs, initiatives, and policies across a range of sectors including infrastructure, health, education/childcare, agriculture and the environment. Georgina is passionate about ensuring evaluation is practical and accessible, providing findings, conclusions and recommendations that can have a real impact for her clients.
With nearly 20 years of experience consulting to the public sector, Evie Cuthbertson is a highly experienced and practical evaluator. She has a demonstrated ability to build strong rapport with clients and stakeholders and works to uplift capability in leading practice for monitoring and evaluation. Evie applies contemporary evaluation theory in a practical way to optimise stakeholder engagement and the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools. She has demonstrated expertise evaluating across multiple program areas and applying techniques to ensure the complete performance story can be told.
