Building on the success & energy of last year’s FestEVAL, we’re offering a week of online activities to celebrate evaluation: a FestEVAL!
Inclusive off all AES member groups, and coinciding with the AGM, FestEVAL21 will include the launch of the AES Cultural Safety Framework. the announcement of the 2021 Awards for Excellence and new Fellows, and the launch of the Adelaide conference theme.
Online activities will include facilitated evaluation conversations, forums, and other evaluation-related activities. This year will also see the return of the FestEVAL Club! Registrations open next week. Keep an eye on your inbox for the announcement.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM), for the year ended 30 June 2021, of the Australian Evaluation Society Limited (AES) will be held on Wednesday 15th September 2021, commencing 4:00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time via Zoom. Current financial members are invited to attend.

The AES are seeking proposals from facilitators to enhance our online workshop program. As well as complementing our existing program they will have direct alignment with the AES Evaluators Professional Learning Competency Framework.

Update on IPDET Global Outreach
IPDET are pleased to announce their very first Global Outreach activity "Better policy making through evaluations" - free virtual Evaluation Capacity Development (ECD) training. The training includes six online sessions held between October and November 2021, covering a range of topics perfect for Parliamentarians: how to use evaluations for political steering and participation of society; the fundamentals of M&E; and how to evaluate SDGs. The AES often receives enquiries looking for evaluators with specific areas of expertise. These enquiries are directed to the online searchable Consultants' Directory. As well as being 'discovered' by potential customers, consultants in the directory also enjoy receiving early advice on any call for Evaluation services tenders.
