Join the Systems Evaluation SIG for our online end‑of‑year session—an hour of connection, reflection, and a dash of festive systems thinking. We’ll run short breakout conversations, capture priorities for 2026 on a shared board, and warm things up with a playful “festive feedback loops” quiz. Bring a beverage, a curiosity mindset, and one idea you’d love to explore next year.

Presenter details:

Kara Scally‑Irvine is a New Zealand–based evaluation and research‑impact specialist who leads strategy, monitoring and evaluation, and capability‑building across government, science, and nonprofit sectors. She has worked with the CRI network on “turbocharging impact” and contributed to award‑winning initiatives through iPEN and Manaaki Whenua. She is also leading the Systems Evaluation SIG Committee for this event by creating a systems quiz that will blow the cobwebs out of your workday.

Event overview

Following the highly successful aes25 International Evaluation Conference in Canberra, our final Tasmanian Community of Practice (CoP) meeting for the year will be a space to share key learnings, reflections, and inspiration from the event.

The AES25 theme, “Beyond the Bubble,” encouraged evaluators to look outward challenging assumptions, seeking new ideas, embracing diverse perspectives, and considering what matters to create a more holistic, inclusive, and equitable evaluation practice.

This session will also be an opportunity to reflect on our Community of Practice activities and achievements throughout the year, and to consider how we continue to strengthen evaluation capability across Tasmania.

For those who were unable to attend the conference, presentations are now available online via the AES website.

If you are joining us in person at Primary Health Tasmania’s Collins Street Offices, light refreshments will be served.
