Whatever your role, interest and experience in evaluation we invite you to submit a proposal for a conference presentation or conference workshop and join us in Canberra to debate, discuss, share knowledge and experiences, network and learn about what is happening in evaluation, and evaluation-related fields, in the Australasian region and across the world.

The conference will be held from 4–6 September 2017 at the National Convention Centre, Canberra. The conference will be accompanied by one day of pre-conference workshops on 3 September and one day of post-conference workshops on 7 September at the Novotel Canberra.

We invite you to submit a proposal for delivering a presentation at the conference and/or a pre/post-conference workshop.

Conference presentation proposals extended to 13 March 2017

No extensions and no exceptions will be granted. It is your responsibility to meet these deadlines. The Australasian Evaluation Society cannot be held responsible for errors caused by internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events.

Conference and workshop presenters will be notified of acceptance during May 2017.

Conference registration requirement for final acceptance on the program

All conference presenters must register as a delegate for at least the day they are presenting.

To ensure that an accepted presentation (and its abstract) is included in the final program at least one presenter must register as a delegate by 30 June 2017.  All presenters must be registered by 15 August 2017.

The Ros Hurworth Prize and publication of papers

Full paper submission: Please note that to be eligible for the Ros Hurworth prize a full paper submission is required by 7 August 2017, if you are not submitting your paper the the Hurworth Prize it is due by 22 September 2017.

This year we are again conferring a prize to the best full paper in honour of Associate Professor Rosalind Hurworth, long time and dedicated editor of the Evaluation Journal of Australasia (EJA). The recipient will be announced during the conference proceedings and the paper will be published in an upcoming issue of the EJA. Remember, to be eligible your paper must be received by 7 August.

Independent of the Ros Hurwoth Prize, you are strongly encouraged to submit a copy of your full paper for publication in the EJA by 22 September. Further information will be sent to authors after abstracts are reviewed.

Interested in reviewing conference proposals?

Expressions of interest close 13 March 2017.

We are seeking your assistance to review the conference proposals. The call for conference proposals closes on 13 March 2017 (extended from 6 March) The Program Committee is looking to allocate proposals for review during March 2017. The deadline for the review process is 31 March.
This year’s conference proposals review will be a double-blind review. This means that author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. The review process is fully automated and anonymous. You will be provided with instructions to guide your review when using the online assessment tool. Reviewer's names will be published in the conference abstract book.
